“ Hands down my favorite breakfast spot! I can't help but get "The Three Little Piggies" meal every time! It comes with French toast or pancakes (best French toast!!), two eggs, four different meats, potatoes, and toast. Excellent service and a fun, family friendly atmosphere. It's cash only and closes early. Also, grab some local honey while you're there! ”
“ It's a chance to visit a famous old-Poconos restaurant for breakfast or lunch. Great food served in frying pans, exceptional meats,. Photos of movie stars on the wall. One feels transported to a mid 20th century experience. Note: they only take cash but even that's part of the the feel of a time when people took the Poconos escape from the work-a-day world. ”
“ The inside of this place was very cute! They had so many collections of pig figures in every corner/side of the store which made me having fun looking at them while waiting for the food. We ordered the breakfast combo, omelette, pork sausage with homemade gravy. Home fries were bland (but you eat it with ketchup anyways) but other than that everything tasted good. Homemade gravy was something that I could only found from here and it is definitely a must-try. The server lady was nice as well, she offered to substitute and adjust our order when we were having a hard time compromising the orders. I was just visiting this area but if I get a chance to go back, I will be glad to eat here again. ”
“ When one is partaking in winter sports in the Poconos, one needs to fuel up on calories prior to ascending the mountain, and I can think of no better place to do so than this quaint little time capsule that probably has not changed since its inception in 1949. Here one will not find Eggs Benedict or the latest vegetable hash or a gourmet version of French toast, but will instead be treated to the classic diner version in its most stripped down form like biscuits and gravy, house made corned beef hash, chipped beef, and overstuffed omelettes served in an iron skillet pan often served alongside home fries and the humble triangular sliced and buttered toast. Inside the rustic and old school interior, there is a quirky decor with a strong pig themed motif, appropriately so since they feature several breakfast combinations with smoked ham, sausage links, bacon, and two distinct types of kielbasa all made in house. The kielbasa is the standout with a nice snap and smoky flavor. The place is often at full capacity but the turnover is fast, and service is homey as though you're at grandma's house. Prices are modestly adjusted post Covid, and they accept cash only with ATM on the premises. Kid friendly, large portions, being addressed as "honey", what can I say, I'm a sucker for the classics and simpler times. ”
“ We have been coming to the Poconos for many years and never got the chance to stop here for eggs jn the pan. We stopped this morning and i am so glad we did. The food was great especially the bacon. If you get the home fries, be sure to get them with onions. Service is very good and the staff is friendly. Note that this is a cash only establishment. ”
“ Alright, there are really only five things you need to keep in mind here: 1. Cash only - yes there is an ATM next to the register up front 2. On face value, the prices are a bit on the steep side 3. They are not shy at all about portion sizes which ties into point #2 4. The menu is also on the larger side 5. Breakfast and lunch only every day from 8-2:45 Past that, what else matters? This place isn't reinventing the epicurean wheel but what they do offer is excellently fast service and straight ahead non-pretentious basics. All things considered (past having a few too many flies inside) exactly what you expect from a place like this. Perfect. ”
